The Richmond Hotel Morioka Ekimae surprised me with the size and comfort of the Double Room I booked. Spotlessly clean with good heating made for a cozy stay, especially during the cold weather. The view from my room overlooking the hustle and bustle of the train and bus stations was quite interesting. The lounge on the second floor offered complimentary coffee and soft drinks, a nice perk. The hotel right across the station made getting around a breeze. There’s a 24-hour convenience store attached. I skipped breakfast due to long queues, which proved to be a wise choice. The only minor issue was finding the toilet and bath area in a compact unit. it felt reminiscent of an airplane bathroom.

The location was super convenient, just a two-minute walk from the train station. The staff was really helpful, and I even got personally escorted to a great restaurant for Morioka noodles. The room was comfy, and I loved being able to buy the cozy hotel pyjamas.

The location is ideal, right by the train station. Only downside was the slightly confusing access if dragging luggage.

great stay but room noise could improve
The staff was incredibly helpful during my stay. I appreciated the innovative laundry indicator on the TV, as it saved me time while waiting. The free drip coffee bags provided in the room were a nice touch for coffee lovers wanting an energy boost.

Couples should check this place out
Had a spacious room, enough to open two suitcases without feeling cramped. The bed was generously sized and very comfortable, which made for a restful night after a long day of travel.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but honestly it was still acceptable for what you get.

A Delightful Stay with Unique Amenities!
I enjoyed my stay in a Single Room for four nights. The local milk in charming glass bottles was a highlight at breakfast. For convenience, consider bringing a bedside lamp as controlling lights with a remote can be tricky in the dark. Breakfast offers delightful local specialties, so opt for that!

Great location near the station. Wi-fi was slow in the room, though.
